About me

I'm an accomplished Level 2 Automation / MES engineer with more than 16 years of experience in the steel and manufacturing industries. I specialise in real-time process automation, L2 system development, PLC integration (Siemens, ABB) and industrial communication protocols such as OPC and TCP/IP.

I enjoy optimising plant performance, reducing downtime and bridging the shop floor with the enterprise by interfacing MES with Level 2 systems. My stack is C#, .NET, WCF, WPF and SQL Server, used in high-availability production environments.

Since November 2025 I have been a Senior OT Engineer at ArcelorMittal Calvert in Alabama, USA. Before that I worked as an MES IT Technical Architect at ArcelorMittal Luxembourg, shaping architecture around the PSI Metals MES solution.

Lead the operational technology (OT) strategy and support for plant-floor automation, Level 2 systems and MES integrations in a 24/7 steel production environment.
Ensure high availability, performance and reliability of Level 2 / MES applications and their PLC, OPC and TCP/IP interfaces.
Administer and secure OT infrastructure, including Windows Server environments, industrial networks and shop-floor devices such as label printers.
Lead root-cause analysis and rapid resolution of production-impacting incidents to minimise downtime.
Plan and execute system upgrades, migrations and commissioning of new automation projects with minimal production impact.
Partner with operations, maintenance, IT and vendor teams to define requirements and deliver OT/IT integration solutions.
